Description:
PX10B competent cells are ideal for generating cDNA libraries using plasmid derived vectors. They contain the lacZ marker
for a-complimentation of the b-galactosidase gene for blue/white color screening. The restriction systems mcrA, mcrBC, mrr,
and hsdRMS are lacking to facilitate the cloning of DNA that contains methylcytosine or 5-hydroxymethylcytosine.
Recombination is minimized by the recA1 and endA1 markers, enhancing the quality and yield of plasmid DNA.
