Description: PX1-Blue competent cells are available in a range of competencies and aliquots for preparation of high-quality plasmid and Lambda phage vectors. PX1-Blue Competent cells contain the lacZ marker for α-complimentation of the β-galactosidase gene for blue/white color screening. PX1-Blue cells also provide blue/white plaque screening and phage production when used as a host for M13 and related filamentous phage. Unlike other strains which require minimal media, the F’ episome is maintained via selection with tetracycline.
